How do we help those who don’t think they need to be helped? Men are given free reign and the rights to continue being boys because there is no pressure from anyone to “man up”. Back in the day, our mothers forced us to be gentlemen and our fathers were that example of what a gentleman did. Even if he didn’t have it figured out entirely, he would try his best to do what he thought would work. Now, times have changed because what is acceptable has deteriorated.
Culture seems to have set the tone and society has followed what they say. But, if we’re living according to a higher standard we have to hold on to the truth of Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
It’s definitely a man’s world to take authority over but it was given to us by God. With the gift of authority also came the responsibility to do the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God with it. He didn’t want us to use our anatomy to gain control; it was supposed to be with the wisdom that comes from being in fellowship with Him.
It’s childish to think that what you do in the bedroom is enough to be a leader and to take authority over the things he’s called you to. You can’t do His will without being submitted to Him. Don’t allow culture to dictate what it means to be a man when God has already given you those instructions. It’s not the amount of women you sleep with, the amount of babies you make, or how many wins you have on PlayStation. Are you impacting the culture around you with the authority God has given you?
It’s your world bro! But it wouldn’t be anything if you aren’t led by God.
